What is Give Like A Mother?
Give Like A Mother (GLAM) is a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that local children and teens in need have access to seasonally appropriate clothing.
Though we operate on donations of gently used items, we are committed to providing high-quality, in-style clothing that kids can wear with confidence. When children feel good about what they’re wearing, it can boost their self-worth, reduce the risk of ridicule, and ultimately support their success in school and beyond.
Our name may be fun and a little sassy, but it carries a serious challenge. Mothers give everything they can for their children—yet sometimes, even that isn’t enough.
That’s why we’re asking you: Will you Give Like A Mother and help a child in need?

The Need for Clothing
An estimated 100,000 children in Southwest Ohio are facing clothing insecurity as a result of economic hardship. Without affordable, adequate, and appropriate clothing, children face unfair barriers that are out of their control.
Cited as one of the top 10 reasons children miss school, clothing is instrumental in not only shielding children from the elements, but also in influencing their interactions with peers and shaping how they view themselves. When children are clothed in items that are clean, fit well and ensure comfort, they have an increased sense of self-worth that allows them to thrive in school and in life.
Whether you give items, funds, or time, you are making a difference for local families experiencing economic hardship.
Where Your Clothes Go
When you give clothing items to Give Like A Mother, you can trust that your contributions go directly towards supporting local efforts to clothe those in need. All items we receive are given to the young people we serve, passed on to local organizations or recycled here in Cincinnati. By giving to GLAM, you are extending the life of your used items!
