Give Like a Mother (GLAM) accepts gently used clothing items, coats, and shoes from the community. However, the quality, quantity, and type of items we receive is variable. Oftentimes we cannot rely on gently used donations alone to ensure the youth we serve are adequately clothed. To ensure that we can fulfill our promise to clothe those who request our help, we purchase items to offset the lack of inventory we receive through donations. Additionally, we provide only new socks and underwear for each pack we distribute – an ongoing cost that continues to grow with our service population.  

To provide each with the basic essentials like new socks and underwear, we spend about $12 per child. As the number of children we serve continues to grow, so does the cost of providing the basics! Your donation will help us cover the cost of purchasing new socks, underwear, shoes, and clothing essentials for the children and teens we serve, ensuring each has the clothing needed to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to put their best foot forward.
